This little still life was done after seeing some pears at a Food Bank at the Mirrambeena Community Centre.  I tutor the Art Class there for the Arts, Craft and Activities Inc. Group on Fridays.

Initially, it was the colour of the pears that attracted me, thinking I could set them up in a nice little still life study.  As I was painting it, the idea of a pear (think pair) is two, so it makes sense that the three (3) pears (pairs) in the painting would make SIX. 

Now cut one pear (pair) in half (see the half pear (pair) in the painting?)) and you should get ONE (?).  

So it now should be SIX plus one equals SEVEN,..!!     I took a bite out of the other half and got ATE (eight) !!

Hence the title, Six, Seven, Ate.

Anyway, the painting turned out alright so I decided to put in this exhibition.
