This shed is along Table Top Road, Thurgoona, New South Wales, near where the somewhat newer subdivision called Spring Park Estate is.
Table Top Road was previously known as the Sydney Road and is sometimes referred to as "The Old Sydney Road".
I believe this shed may have some connection to the old Cobb & Co stage coach route and may be connected to what was then a "change Station" where horses were changed for fresh horses along the route.
I was attracted to this shed because of its unusual shape and it appears to have had some annexures attached to it over the years. I'm not sure what it is used for today but it appears to possibly be a pig sty.
The other thing that attracted me to the shed was its red colour. I'm aware timber sheds were often painted with a red iron oxide ground in linseed oil to protect the timber. They had been using this paint for hundreds of years and knew it worked exceptionally well to protect timber so I guess it use progressed to galvanised iron sheds too?
I added a person lighting a fire to the scene to give the painting a bit of life. I just hope the fire doesn't spread to the surrounding dry grass,.. !!
